Because of the violence in northeast Delhi, schools in the area will remain closed the whole of next week. As per PTI reports, the clashes between demonstrators who are supporting or opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) has left at least 42 dead and hundreds injured.
This has taken a big toll on the CBSE board exams as all the exams till now have been postponed in 80-odd northeast Delhi schools. The plans of Class 10 and Class 12 students are in disarray.As per officials, the exams scheduled to take place in the whole of next week will be postponed as well as the situation was not conducive.There is no information regarding when the postponed CBSE board exams would be held again for students whose exam centres were allotted among these 80 schools in northeast Delhi.
The fresh dates for CBSE board exam 2020 are still not known.While Class 10 students had their English exam, Class 12 students had optional exams — including Web Application and Media.
On February 26, an order came announcing that the February 27 board exams were also postponed in this region. The order was effective for 80 schools. There was no CBSE Class 10 board exam on the day, while CBSE Class 12 students had their English exams.
“The exam will be conducted in rest parts of Delhi as per earlier schedule. A fresh date for the exam in northeast Delhi will be announced shortly,” a CBSE official had said at the time.On February 27 evening, yet another order came announcing that the CBSE board exams were postponed in northeast Delhi for both February 28 and February 29.
